On 9 September 2026, Mr. Yordying Supasri, Director of East Asia Division 1, Department of East Asian Affairs, and Mrs. Sumatthana Junnarat, Minister Counsellor, Bureau of Policy and Planning, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, briefed a delegation from the National Resilience College (NRC) of Malaysia, led by Major General Dato' Saiful Bahari bin Zainol, Commandant of the College. The delegation was in Thailand to study Thai policy across a range of dimensions under the themes of social cohesion and the Whole-of-Government / Whole-of-Society approach.

On this occasion, the representative of the Bureau of Policy and Planning delivered a briefing on "Global Dynamism and Thailand's Foreign Policy", and the Director of East Asia Division 1 delivered a briefing on "Thailand – Malaysia Bilateral Relations". Members of the delegation expressed keen interest and raised a number of questions, after which a group photograph was taken.

The NRC delegation visited Thailand from 6 to 11 September 2026, receiving briefings from a number of Thai agencies, including the National Security Council and the National Defence College, and paying a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand, as part of a comparative analysis study.
